For Pre-school/Kindergarten - 12th grade

Rally Sunday is September 12th
Please see the FAYTH Ministry Page for details on how we plan on kicking off the new schoolyear

Preschool Sunday School

"Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me and do not stop them, because the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’"

Our Preschool Sunday school class serves children from age 3 through kindergarten. The focus of the class is to expose our youngest members to familiar Bible stories in ways that are appropriate for their ages. Students learn what the Bible is and why we use it. They practice using early "church manners" through regular prayer, active participation in the lessons, and learning together with other young Christian friends. Activities are kept fun and exciting to utilize all the enthusiasm and energy of the children within the class. Meets throughout the school year.

Faith Quest

2 Timothy 3:15 "From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ."

RELC’s children kindergarten through 5th grade meet from 9:50 to 10:50 am in the Sunday School classrooms to learn those very same Holy Scriptures that Timothy talks about.  Our rotation model of Sunday School encourages students to learn Bible stories and truths through repetition, participation, and many varied learning opportunities.  Meets throughout the school year.

Confirmation Class (Sunday @ 5:30pm)

Proverbs 22:6  “Teach children how they should live and they will remember it all their lives.“

Using the Bible and Luther's Small Catechism as its foundation, the Catechism program at RELC will guide students as they actively explore their faith.  Our sixth grade class and the combined seventh and eighth grade class meet every Sunday morning during the Sunday School hour throughout the school year.   Learning for Catechism students goes on outside the classroom at RELC as well.  A variety of trips, service projects, and retreats are planned annually. Our Ninth graders meet with our Pastor during the Fall as they prepare for their Affirmation of Baptism on Reformation Sunday at the end of October.   Affirmation of Baptism is not the end of their faith journey at RELC, but just one of the many steps in the faith walk of a Lutheran Christian.
