About Resurrection Early Learning Center
Resurrection Early Learning Center is a private, non-profit, faith based community service organization licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. The Early Learning Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The Early Learning Center is non-denominational and is owned and operated by Resurrection Evangelical Lutheran Church under the supervision of a board of directors. The Early Learning Center has been in operation since May 3, 1971. Our purpose is to provide a safe, secure, and loving place.
Preschool Program
The preschool program at the Early Learning Center includes language development, reading and math readiness, decision making, music, art, craft, and nature. Activities are chosen to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional development of the children. Programs are designed for children from 18 months through age five. These children are grouped into classes according to age and ability.
School Aged Program
The school aged program includes kindergarten group and a before-and-after-school group. School bus service is provided to and from many of the Hilliard elementary schools. Children who attend Hilliard Crossing and Scioto Darby are walked to and from school. The Early Learning Center also has a special summer program for children through sixth grade.
Meals
The Early Learning Center serves breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack each day. We participate in the Ohio Child and Adult Care Food Program administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Each lunch includes 1/3 of the recommended daily allowance and foods from each of the four food groups. Breakfast and snack include foods from at least two food groups.
Behavior Management
Conscious Discipline® is a comprehensive classroom management program and a social-emotional curriculum. It is based on current brain research, child development information, and developmentally appropriate practices. Conscious Discipline® has been specifically designed to make changes in the lives of adults first. The adults, in turn, change the lives of children.
