Welcome to Neighbors of Mercy

In the book of Leviticus, God is quoted as saying to Moses, “When a foreigner resides among you in our land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God,” (Lev. 19: 33-34, NIV).

In the spirit of caring for our neighbors as Christ teaches us in the Parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10, we will be officially launching our newest ministry: Neighbors of Mercy. Neighbors of Mercy will be a ministry directed to helping people who are immigrants and refugees who have come to live among us in Hilliard and the greater Columbus area. As a part of this process, RELC and Neighbors of Mercy will partner with area non-governmental organizations such as Columbus Refugee and Immigration Services, also known as CRIS.

On July 13th, Neighbors of Mercy will launch during a Mission Moment during our 10 a.m. worship service.

Our next meeting of Neighbors of Mercy is August 10th after worship service.
