Jesus teaches us to go out in the world. Often for the RELC community, this means providing service to our neighbors in various ways. Our website shows many of the ongoing ministries where we serve, but here are a few others we are involved with:
Choices Shelter
The only domestic violence shelter in Franklin County.
RELC volunteers give time to help with the smooth functioning of this vital service to our neighbors who are victims of abuse.
Every October we collect money for Domestic Violence
Awareness Month.
Lutheran Social Services (LSS)
LSS, which runs Choices, also provides other assistance to people in and around our community. Like choices, they rely on volunteers to help keep their operations running smoothly and cost-effectively.
RELC volunteers on a mission to provide helping hands to LSS. We often collect items needed at the shelter and from time to time provide teams to go down and help sort items.
Trunk or Treat
This fun tradition in Central Ohio is celebrated at RELC with creative decorations spilling from various trunks with treats available for youngsters to gather at the event, held around Halloween. This is open to the public, and other activities can be offered at the event as well. We’d love to have you join the fun (look for the date on our events calendar or call the office at 614-876-7926
Ghouls, goblins, princes and princesses, and everything in between share a fun afternoon at RELC’s Trunk or Treat.
Blue Shirts in Force!
When RELC members venture out for fun in our community, we can be seen in a small see of blue shirts. We are a community that actively seeks fellowship with one another and with our surrounding world. Introduce yourself to someone you find in one of our shirts. We’d love to meet you!
