Jiaxuan “Lily” Wang is an accomplished pianist and educator with a diverse background in performance and music education. She holds dual master’s degrees in Classical Performance from Queens College and Music Education from Hunter College and is currently a Doctoral candidate in Music Performance and Pedagogy at The Ohio State University.

Ms. Wang has performed at esteemed venues such as New York City’s Kupferberg Center for the Arts and Carnegie Hall. She has earned top honors in international competitions, including the American Protege International Romantic Music Competition and the Charleston International Music Competition.

As a versatile educator, Ms. Wang has taught a wide range of students, including Prek-12 learners in New York City public schools. She has co-taught general music, band, and choir classes, and designed engaging group piano lessons for elementary students. Her teaching reflects a commitment to fostering musical growth and a love of learning in diverse student populations.

In higher education, she has served as a Graduate Teaching Associate at The Ohio State University, teaching undergraduate Keyboard Skills courses, and as a Staff Accompanist at Hunter College, where she collaborated with vocal studios and supported departmental performances. She is also an active researcher, presenting innovative pedagogical methods at national conferences such as the MTNA Regional and National Conferences, National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy, and College Music Society’s Regional and National Conferences.

Through her teaching, performance, and research, Ms. Wang aims to inspire a new generation of musicians and educators, blending artistry and pedagogy to make a meaningful and lasting impact in the field of music.
